Beethoven’s Triple Concerto at Tucson Music Hall (Oct 5, 7)

The Eroica Trio will make their Tucson Symphony Orchestra debut performing Beethoven’s Triple Concerto at the Opening Weekend of the 2012-13 Season. Conductor George Hanson, now celebrating his seventeenth season with the TSO, will be on the podium for the program, which will open with the Overture to Richard Wagner’s Flying Dutchman and conclude with Ein Heldenleben, A Hero’s Life, the seventh in a line of tone poems for which Richard Strauss is well known.

Grammy® award nominees, the Eroica Trio is an American piano trio consisting of Erika Nickrenz (piano), Susie Park (violin), and Sara Sant’Ambrogio (cello). The trio has performed the Beethoven Triple Concerto more frequently than any other trio in the world. They are the first all-female chamber ensemble to reach the top echelon of its field.
