Personal finance website WalletHub recently conducted an in-depth analysis to identify 2016's Best & Worst Cities for an Active Lifestyle.
To identify the cities that encourage balancing a healthy diet with ample physical activity, WalletHub’s analysts compared the 100 most populated U.S. cities across 24 key metrics. The data set included the average monthly fitness club fee to the number of swimming pools per capita to the number of parkland acres per capita.
As you can see from the table below, Tucson ranks #7 in the "best cities" list. This strikes us as being consistent with our own "findings." Tucson really is a biker's paradise, a runner's wonderland, a hiker's haven, and a swimmer's shangri-la.
