Stroll through the extensive collection of books ranging from natural history and archaeology to native plants and animals. The store serves as the Tucson outlet for Arizona Highways destination guides, calendars, and stationary. Unearth new treasures with one of the rock hounding guides, learn the secrets to gold panning, or discover the best trails in Arizona.
Need a field guide? From pocket-sized guides identifying butterflies and snakes to complete reference books about wildflowers, birds, and lizards, this store has it covered!
You can also buy your Arizona Game and Fish Department licenses or US Forest Service passes in the store.
Note that The Arizona Experience is more than just a storefront. The Arizona Experience website is an interactive virtual museum launched on Arizona’s centennial to showcase the people, places, and events that shaped Arizona’s past as well as guiding its future. You will find Arizona’s interactive Recreational and Cultural Sites map, thanks to a partnership with the Arizona Office of Tourism. Use the robust search engine to identify museums and attractions, as well as where to boat, fish, view mountain vistas or wildlife, ride equestrian trails, hike, bike, or camp throughout Arizona.
“Whether a long time resident or first time visitor, let your journey begin with the Arizona Experience.”
NOTES: Before or after your visit, be sure to take advantage of all of the wonderful restaurants within walking distance of the store such as El Charro Café, Little Poca Cosa, HUB, and La Cocina.
