Are you breastfeeding your new baby in Tucson? Do you have questions or concerns? Worried about milk supply, nipple pain, or baby's latch? Need pumping pointers?
Attend a free breastfeeding support group, where you will have the chance to interact with other new moms and hear from lactation consultants and experienced breastfeeding moms.
All groups are open to new mothers, regardless of where you delivered your baby.
There is no need to sign up ahead of time. Feel free to drop in on as an-needed basis.
Unless otherwise noted, all groups are free.

La Leche League of Tucson Breastfeeding Support Group
DESCRIPTION: Milk and Honey’s weekly breastfeeding support group is facilitated by providers and is a great, free resource for mothers and babies.
NOTES: Milk and Honey offers many services for new and expecting families within the community, including one-on-one appointments. Appointments offered include: prenatal, breastfeeding/feeding, transitioning to solids, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, weaning, frenectomies, mastitis treatment, and PPD/A. Breastfeeding Support Group at St. Joseph's Hospital
LOCATION: St. Joseph's Hospital (Childbirth Education Classroom), 350 N. Wilmot Rd, Tucson
DAY: Every Tuesday
TIME: 3:30pm-5:00pm
DESCRIPTION: A support group for new mothers and their infants. Visit with other moms, receive support from lactation specialists, share experiences, and much more.
Breastfeeding Support Group at Tucson Medical Center
LOCATION: Tucson Medical Center, Canyon Room, 5301 E. Grant Rd, Tucson
DAY: Every Monday | The support group does not meet on Mondays that are also holidays (ex: Labor Day, Memorial Day, etc).
TIME: 10:00am-11:30am
DESCRIPTION: "Whether you're a first-time mom or this baby is number five or six, you can find help and support with breastfeeding at TMC's free weekly breastfeeding support group. Spend time with other moms and babies. Learn and share valuable parenting advice. Find out how much breast milk your baby is getting with a pre- and post-feed weight. Latch, positioning, and other breastfeeding assistance will be offered by a certified lactation consultant."

Beyond the Blues Pregnancy & Postpartum Support Group

Description: This is a support group for pregnant people and parents who may feel sad, overwhelmed, anxious, or depressed due to their pregnancy, birth, and parenting journeys. You do not have to be a Banner patient to join.
NOTES: Free and open to the public.
ONE-ON-ONE BREASTFEEDING APPOINTMENTS
Milk & Honey, Northwest Medical Center, St. Joseph's Hospital, and Tucson Medical Center all offer one-on-one breastfeeding support appointments and/or clinics. Note that breastfeeding support groups tend to be free, whereas individual appointments tend to be available for a fee*.
*It is possible that your insurance will cover lactation support. Call your insurance company for more information.
