Guest conductor Manuel Hernández Silva, making his US debut, is joined by the welcome return of fellow Venezuelan Pacho Flores, who introduces the exotic, dance-like concerto, written for him by Puerto Rican Roberto Sierra, and his own piece, Morocota. Hernández Silva leads the TSO in two takes on the classic Romeo and Juliet story, by Tchaikovsky and Bernstein.
