"Americana Night, Tucson Style" brings together songwriters who have made Tucson their adopted homes and have embraced the magical, musical vibe of the desert Southwest. Lex Browning, (performing with The Tirebiters), is the former lead guitarist and fiddler for the legendary country-rock band Poco. He was also a member of the progressive-country band Great Plains. Tirebiters songwriter/bassist Steve Grams is a member of the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame and the Iowa Rock 'n' Roll Music Association's Hall of Fame. The Tirebiters also feature the incomparable Matt Mitchell on guitar and Les Merrihew on drums. Eric Schaffer, performing with his band The Other Troublemakers has been a mainstay in the Tucson music scene for ten years and has performed throughout the country - including a recent win at the songwriting competition at the iconic Tumbleweed Music Festival in Richland, WA. The band also features Arizona Blues Hall of Fame drummer and ex-Sidewinder Bruce Halper, lead guitarist Loren Dircks of "Gila Bend" fame and bassist Jess Barrera.
