Ancestry.com for the Beginner at Oro Valley Public Library

Do you want to learn more about your family history using Ancestry.com? In this course, you will use the Library Edition of Ancestry.com to explore your family tree.

This is a free version of Ancestry.com that is available to all library users, but it can only be accessed from one of the library computers (or your laptop when it is connected to the Library’s Wi-Fi). There are millions of records and images available through Ancestry.com. We will exploring the various search options to locate information about your family. You are strongly encouraged to bring a USB drive to save any documents, images or pictures you find during your search.

About half of each class session will feature lecture and demonstration of Ancestry.com, and the other half class the instructor will be available to assist and direct you with your search results.

This is a 2 session course beginning on Wednesday, August 15 and concludes on Wednesday, August 22. You are encouraged to attend both sessions.
