Animal Adventures at Tucson Symphony Center

The Tucson Symphony Orchestra’s Just for Kids Series will start the New Year on Saturday, January 5 with the TSO String Quartet performing Animal Adventures and a festival with a roaming magician, games, prizes and more. Kids should bring their favorite stuffed animal for an adventure through the sights and sounds of Tucson on the way to perform their own animal concert with the TSO String Quartet The program will include “Farmony” for string quartet and farm animals by acclaimed composer, educator, performer, and author Bruce Adolphe. Performances are at 10:00 and 11:15 a.m. at the Tucson Symphony Center (TSC). There is plenty of free parking at theTucson Symphony Center, 2175 N. Sixth Ave. just south of Grant Road.
After the performances a mini-festival awaits at the TSC. Joining the TSO for the festivities for the first time is the Hope Animal Shelter to provide information about their activities and possibly bring a special friend or two. There will be a music exploration station, face painting, a roaming magician, games and prizes for every child. My 92.9 will broadcast live from the event and Calle Coffee will be selling refreshments. The festivities are free for everyone with a suggested admission of $3 per person at the door.
