Apollo Remembered at Murphy-Wilmot Library

November 5, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Free

On Sunday, July 20, 1969, humankind first set foot on the moon. Four days later, the crew of Apollo 11 safely returned to Earth. In doing so, our nation’s daunting moon-landing goal was achieved before the end of the 1960s.

Apollo Remembered is an exciting 70-minute audio-visual presentation narrated by aerospace historian J. Terry White that commemorates the 50th anniversary of the first manned lunar landing. “Apollo Remembered will transport participants back to a time when the impossible became reality,” said Mr. White. “Whether this is a trip down memory lane or a first time excursion, attendees will come away with a deeper appreciation for the incredible accomplishments and enduring significance of Project Apollo.”

The presentation will also feature an informative model display and will conclude with an interactive question-and-answer session.

Presented by J. Terry White, president and CEO of White Eagle Aerospace. Mr. White has served in the aerospace industry for nearly 50 years in various capacities, including as an engineer, manager, consultant, author, instructor, and business owner.
