Is poetry words on paper? Art? Spoken language? Find out with the UA Poetry Center at Art after Dark on Saturday, May 11!
Kids will have the opportunity to create poetry with drop-in writing sessions at the typewriters, create poetry-inspired art, listen to read-aloud stories, and possibly take part in a poetry slam.
Come feel the power of poetry!
The Museum, 200 S. Sixth Ave., will be open from 5:30-8 pm with free admission for everyone.
Art after Dark is a monthly arts program and community evening event. With free admission to the Children’s Museum, partner nonprofit arts organizations inspire visitors with interactive performances and activities every month. Furthering the impact of the program, the first 400 visitors who attend Art after Dark will receive a free pass for a return visit to the Museum. The goal of the Art after Dark program is to provide exposure and access to the amazing array of arts within our community. It is supported by the David and Lura Lovell Foundation.
The Museum requires entering adults to be accompanied by kids (under 18) and all children must be supervised by an adult.
