After traveling more than 1 billion miles, NASA’s OSIRIS-REX spacecraft will arrive at the target asteroid Bennu on Monday, December 3! The UA leads this mission for NASA.

Come celebrate this mission milestone at the Flandrau the weekend before the spacecraft arrives at a special event: ASTEROID AHOY! NASA’S OSIRIS-REX ARRIVES AT BENNU.

The ASTEROID AHOY! event includes special presentations from mission scientists, special interactive asteroid activities, and asteroid-focused planetarium shows! 

Asteroid Ahoy! Event

When: Saturday & Sunday, December 1 & 2. 1pm to 4pm.
Where: Flandrau Science Center & Planetarium
What: Special free OSIRIS-REx presentations, special asteroid planetarium shows, special asteroid activities.
Cost: Special discounted $4 general admission. Free OSIRIS-REx science presentations. Regular price planetarium shows: $8 for adults, $6 for kids.
