Bat Faces and Places at Woods Memorial Library

Tweens will be amazed by new & fascinating scientific information about bats – stop-action photos, stories of incredible long-distance migrations, bats’ friendships with humans, new night-vision videos of bats in secret caves, and lots more.

Naturalist Dave DeGroot is also a cartoonist – and his presentation features drawing lessons that help tweens understand the unique anatomy of bats. Bat Faces and Places is sure to change the way you think about these little flying dynamos!

Instructor Dave DeGroot is a retired Sahuarita teacher, a veteran of 35 years of hiking, camping, and guiding in the Santa Rita Mountains, a certified Arizona Master Naturalist, and a docent with Friends of Madera Canyon.
