Ben Franklin and the Levitating Frog at Martha Cooper Library

October 12, 2022 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Free

Using a Tesla Coil, a Van de Graaf generator, and other scientific equipment, fundamental principles of electricity and magnetism will be demonstrated in an educational and highly entertaining manner.

This audience-interactive program addresses STEAM concepts in creative and unusual ways and inspires participants to engage in further experimentation on their own, using simple, home-made equipment (e.g. electrophorus, Leyden jar, and electroscope).

Space is limited for this free event. Tickets will be available at the desk a half hour before the start of the program. Must be present to receive a ticket.

Presented by Arthur J Friedman
