BRAVO! An Admission-Free Concert at Tucson Music Hall – CANCELLED

March 27, 2020 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Music Director José Luis Gomez conducts the Tucson Symphony Orchestra (TSO) in BRAVO! An Admission-Free Concert, which is open to all ages. The TSO welcomes the Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus and UA Dance as guest artists for select pieces of music. The performance will take place on Friday, March 27th, at 7:30 pm at the Tucson Music Hall.

Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus will sing Stephen Paulus’ “Songs of Meditation” as well as a piece commissioned from Anthony Constantino, “Visions for Treble Chorus and Orchestra.” Constantino is an alumnus of the Tucson Symphony Young Composers Project, in which Tucson students ages 8-18 learn to compose for symphony orchestra. At the concert, TSO will perform “Amour dépérissent” by José Daniel Vargas, a current student in the Young Composers Project.

UA Dance will perform as TSO plays Aram Khachaturian’s Waltz from “Masquerade.” Other music in the concert includes Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Gratulations” Minuet, a waltz by Johann Strauss, Jr., and a polka by Josef Strauss. For reservations at no cost, call (520) 882-8585.
