Ceramic Moon Dish Workshop at Creative Kind

March 19, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Claire from Marigold Fontana Ceramics will guide you through the basics of making a galaxy inspired glass crackle moon catch-all dish.

Start with a flat slab of clay and end up with a gorgeous moon dish!

During this workshop you will learn:

  • Fundamental clay practices including smoothing, cutting, and forming your piece
  • The technique to create this unique crackled glass finish

By the end of this workshop, you’ll have crafted a moon catch-all dish that will be perfect for your jewelry or just to display!

You’ll come away with a basic understanding of handling raw clay and hand building, as well as the process of completing the piece through glazing and firing.

Disclaimer: Claire will be firing your pieces, glazing them, and firing them again so they’re sturdy! Claire will be making additional dishes in the unlikely event your piece doesn’t make it through the firing process. Kiln accidents do happen from time to time. Your fired and finished pieces will be available for pickup 3-4 weeks later and you will be notified by email when it’s ready!

Workshop Includes:

  • All materials and instruction
  • One-on-one assistance
  • Snacks and beverages
  • 10% off any purchases in the shop

Face masks are required for everyone’s health and safety.
All classes are held at Creative Kind in Suite 182 (across from L’Occitane).
Cost is $65 per person.
