The Rillito River flows through much of Tucson, connecting many of our tributaries to the Santa Cruz River. These connections allow much of our water to flow through the Rillito River. This flow will take more than water downstream; trash also flows with it. Bookmans is partnering with Tucson’s Watershed Management Group, working together to clean up a section of the Rillito River near Brandi Fenton Park. This area holds a long history; records tell us that the Binghampton community, once farmers and stewards of the environment themselves, were living near the river, using the flowing creek for irrigation of their crops.
