January 2 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Free

Thinking about college but not sure where to start? Let the Quincie Douglas Library help you find your path forward.

Explore the following topics at the College Readiness Workshop: College Search Process, Major Exploration, and What Can I Do With a Major In?

College Search Process

Learn about the college search process in general and the many possibilities that are open to you. Discover what is important to you: distance, school size, majors, tuition, social setting. Use college search websites to identify the right college or university for you.

Major Exploration & Confirmation

Are you undecided about your major? Take the Holland Code Quiz to help confirm your self-understanding and explore all the different possible majors. The Arizona Career Information System will highlight the connection between majors and careers.

What Can I Do With a Major In?

There are hundreds of academic majors for you to select from, which can sometimes be the most challenging. The helpful websites will share more information about majors and the types of jobs that are available for each major area. Learn about the types of employers that hire people with a specific major.
