CARE Classes Fall 2019
Moms Class (Registration for this class ends Oct 1st)
This two-semester class teaches moms how to love and discipline their children as God loves and disciplines us. Each week you will spend time as a group with pertinent teaching by Barb, who will make you laugh as she teaches parenting fundamentals and the blunders we all make as moms. You will also spend time in small groups for discussion. Fellow moms will become your lifeline as you learn and grow in your mothering skills throughout the year.
Led by Barb Tompkins
The Armor of God

Led by Franny Crowe, Judie Simpson, Deborah Ronnie & Sue Livingood
Sitting with Jesus
“My choice is You, God, first and only.” (Psalm 16:5, Message) My heart for our class is this: to create a space for Love to come. To be still. To seek to truly know God’s heart for us on an intimate level. To sit with Him. To listen. To be led by His Spirit, as we walk this path together. To draw close to His heart through His Word, silence, words, praise, journaling, or truly whatever brings us into His presence. To learn from each other. There will be time for quiet, time to share, time to pray, and time to worship. Your authentic heart, your Bible, and your journal are all that are required for this class. (Registration is limited to 10 participants.)
Led by Leslie Johnson & Colleen Werbylo
Parenting your teen in today’s culture is challenging. No matter how much we love our kids and want to protect then, we cannot control them or their circumstances. However, God is in control and He can take care of our teens far better than we ever could. Using your Bible, the book Prayer Changes Teens: How to Parent from Your Knees, and a writing journal, we will discuss and learn how to pray specifically and with confidence for our teens’ needs. This class is open to moms of teens 12 years of age and older. (Registration is limited to 12 participants)
Led by Erin Maxwell, Julie Schwind & Cristiana Bertoldi
Book of Acts
How can people who are living in a nation of upheaval, indecision misunderstanding, perversity, crookedness, and even persecution continue living successfully, and even witness to their faith?
The people in the book of Acts lived in a world very similar to ours. What could we learn from such a people? Join us in a Precept study of this exciting book. For eager students of God’s Word.

FOR HOME-SCHOOLED KIDS, K-8th grades
Kids in the Life of Faith Book Club discover what a book has to say and discuss chapters they read at home. They make new friends, enjoy adventures together, and create imaginative crafts. And they play fun games! Every activity is designed to enhance the books we read and inspire kids in their relationship with God. Book Club fee is $25 for each child and helps cover the cost of materials. Books are an additional $10 each semester. Please contact Tammy Fredeen at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
