'Legesē, an annual runway fashion show that benefits a different local nonprofit each year presents 'Legacy Wright Flight on September 29th at 5:30pm. Wright Flight is a unique program that began in 1986, dedicated to helping at-risk kids gain essential life skills for overcoming adversity and achieving goals by partnering with teachers and schools to give children the opportunity to set and achieve goals to earn the right to fly an airplane. “We believe in leaving a lasting legacy for the children of Wright Flight, empowering them to transform their lives. Together, let's create opportunities that inspire, educate, and uplift the next generation.” said Legesê owner Semantha Lambert
The event will take place in an airplane hangar at the Atlantic Aviation Center at Tucson International Airport. The Top Gun/Aviation themed event will feature a full fashion runway show featuring local design icons like Pop Triggered, House of Zuhri, and El Be Goods. The event will also include live music and dance performances, raffles and a silent auction, tours of private jets and helicopters, and more. Food will be provided by some of Tucson’s best food trucks. Cathy Rivers will emcee the event. Rivers is the current Executive Director of The Rialto Theatre Foundation in Tucson Arizona. She formerly led KXCI Community Radio as the Executive Director. A 30-year veteran of radio and music industry experience, Cathy is also a gifted performer. Tickets for the event are $55 and $105.
