Mother's Day Concert with the Arizona Women's Chorus at Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum

In honor of Mother's Day, the program celebrates the power of music and women to bring peace and beauty to the world. The repertoire features the works of poets and composers from Saint Teresa of Avila (Spain: 1515-1582), to African American spirituals, to the brand-new commission, "As We Sing We Live" (lyrics by local poet Lollie Butler, music by Mark Hayes.)
