To celebrate Independence Day and thank members of the military for their service, Reid Park Zoo will offer a special military admission discount during its Red, White and Zoo. On July 4, 2023 from 8:00am to 2:00pm, the Zoo will offer free daytime admission for active duty, reserve and guard, veterans and retirees of the military (with military, VA, or retiree ID), and discounted admission of $5 each for up to six family members. The discount is available at the gate only; military member does not need to be present for family member discount.
From waving “Hi!” to the lions to all day Carousel rides, you’ll find something for everyone to enjoy at the Zoo! Come face-to-face with the giraffes at the 9:00am Giraffe Encounter, swing by to see the elephant herd, and grab some Dippin’ Dots from the Flamingo Grill. During these hot summer days, come early, bring your refillable water bottle, and cool off while visiting the animals in the Conservation Learning Center.

Admission to the Zoo is regularly $10.50 for adults ages 15-61, $8.50 for seniors ages 62+, $6.50 for children ages 2-14 and free for children ages 2 and under. Zoo Members receive free admission. Reid Park Zoo offers a discount of 20% off a one-year annual membership to active duty or retired military personnel. To take advantage of the membership offer, join or renew at the front gate and present a valid I.D. for active or retired military or call the Zoo’s Membership office at 520-881-4753 and provide a scan of a valid ID. Military discount cannot be combined with any other offer or discount or promotions, including weekend specials, if offered.
