Saguaro National Park Labor Day 8-Miler and 5k Run/Walk

The Saguaro National Park Labor Day 8-Miler was the first race ever put on by SAR, coming on 49 years ago. This scenic course and the post-race festivities truly embrace the spirit of the old Southwest, making the 49th Saguaro National Park Labor Day Run a regional favorite. This event has been featured as a Runner’s World Race of the Month and is currently featured in Runner’s World online as one of the few races to take place on National Park Land.
Race Weekend Schedule
Saturday, September 1 at The Running Shop 10:00 am – 1:00 pm: Visit The Running Shop at 3055 North Campbell Avenue and pick up your number and your shirt. You can also register in person on Saturday, September 1st. Please note that there is no race day registration, so registration ends at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 1st at The Running Shop.
Monday, September 3 at Saguaro National Park EAST
5:30-6:15 packet pickup in front parking lot adjacent to Visitor Center
6:00 Early walking start for 8-miler — all walkers must check in, not eligible for any age group awards
6:25 8-Mile Run Start
6:30 5k Run/Walk Start
9:00 Course Close, Awards Ceremony near Visitor Center
9:30 Park opens to vehicle traffic
