Performance by Wa:k Tab Basket Dancers
Wa:k Tab Basket Dancers is a group of young ladies and women honoring O’odham basket weavers by showcasing their artistry. Songs are about basket making, Oodham women and some village songs. The group has been together for about 18 years and is open to ladies who want to learn about their himdag (culture) and are wanting to share with others.
The Place Where Clouds Are Formed: Reading and Reception
In celebration of the installation of The Place Where Clouds Are Formed, join TMA in a reception featuring a welcome and remarks as well as poetry readings by Amber Lee Ortega and Ofelia Zepeda.
Second SundAZe Family Day @ TMA is presented by the Stonewall Foundation with additional support from the David and Lura Lovell Foundation, with free admission to the museum on the second Sunday of each month as well as educational programming, art-making activities, and special performances.
