Come experience The Art of Planetary Science event at Flandrau and the UAZ’s Lunar and Planetary Lab (LPL), a weekend of space art, music, and digital art shows in the planetarium theater – November 15, 16, and 17.

Many planetary scientists and astronomers call Tucson home and we’re also home to a thriving “Space Art” community that is full of creativity and fascinated by science.

See the space art exhibition at LPL with over 220 pieces of art! Bring the family to enjoy space art activities, special planetarium shows, and reduced admission – $5 shows and $5 exhibits all 3 days at Flandrau. Explore physics activities provided by the Cosmic Bus on the UAZ mall.

Free Screenings in the Planetarium Theater
Saturday, Nov 16, 2pm, Space Art Compilation of digital and video art submissions with a special introduction and presentation by aerospace engineer and artist Michell Rouch

Sunday, Nov 17, 11am, Tucson’s debut screening of the documentary Chesley Bonestell: A Brush With The Future. Bonestell, known as the “Father of Space Art,” inspired a generation of scientists and space artists. With a special introduction from astronomer Bill Hartmann from the Planetary Science Institute.
