Vietnam War Experience at Oro Valley Public Library

September 17, 2019 @ 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Free

This event features the personal perspectives of two Vietnam war veterans. Wes Choc and David Davis will each give a brief talk about specific events and people they remember from the war. Each will also provide an assessment of how it affected their lives. Should there be other Vietnam vets in the audience, there will be an opportunity for them to share their experiences.

After the formal presentation, there will be a question and answer session. Both presenters will have mementos to exhibit.

Presenters:

Wes Choc: Wes enlisted in the USMC (Marine Corps) in 1965. Wes was assigned to A Company, 1st Battalion, 26th Marine Regiment. Wes is the author of Just Dust: An Improbable Marine’s Vietnam Story.

David R. Davis: David served in the US Army. David served as a medic with the 101st Airborne Division north of the city of Hue, Vietnam. David is the author of Running In, Walking Out, an autobiographical novel based in large part on his Vietnam experience.
