Zoom Zoom! at Children’s Museum Tucson

January 15, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

From bicycles to bucket trucks, the Children’s Museum Tucson, 200 S. 6th Ave., is celebrating all forms of transportation on Saturday, January 15, at Zoom…Zoom!, a hands-on transportation extravaganza.

Museum admission will be FREE all day, from 9 am to 5 pm. Zoom … Zoom! activities will take place from 9:00am to 1:00pm. CMT will be taking over 6th Avenue to make room for vehicles of all sizes to roar up in front of the Museum, including a cement truck, a Caterpillar excavator, go-carts, and a limo.

There will also be lots of public safety vehicles, search and rescue from Davis-Monthan AFB, and TEP’s heavy equipment vehicles. Kids (and adults) can climb in and get a feel for what it’s like to drive one of these awesome machines. The Bookmobile will also be on site so don’t forget your library card.

Rev your engine in the morning with coffee from Al Gusto Coffee Company, then refuel for lunch at You Sly Dog food truck.

Zoom … Zoom! is geared for families and children of all ages to explore transportation and learn about all the ways we can go! Kids will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on transportation activities and get an up-close look at some incredible vehicles.

Scheduled participating guests for Zoom … Zoom! include Caterpillar, Cemex USA, Door 2 Door Kart Track, Duke's Car Club, El Grupo, Pima County Library Bookmobile, Pima County Sheriff's Department, Sun Tran, Truly Nolan, Tucson Electric Power, Tucson Electric Vehicle Association, Tucson Police Department, Tucson Rodeo Parade Committee, Tucson Street Rod Association, Tucson Water and U.S. Air Force 48th Rescue Squadron (DMAFB).
