Most of the movie theaters around Tucson offer free or deeply discounted movies during the summer months. Get inside and enjoy the air-conditioned entertainment at a location near you!
Note that some of these theaters require or recommend advance ticket purchasing. Plan ahead to ensure that you have seats at the shows that interest you.

CINEMARK SUMMER MOVIE CLUBHOUSE
The Summer Movie Clubhouse is a kid-friendly summer movie series. Attend for only $1 per person per movie or purchase a ten-week series punch card while supplies last at participating theatres.
Four participating theatres in Southern Arizona: Century 20 El Con, Century Gateway 12, Tucson Marketplace, and Century OV Marketplace
Dates: May 27-September 8
Movies: Varies based on theatre - click for printable schedule for the theatre nearest you.
Cost: $1 per person, per movie, at the theatre box office on day of movie OR See all 10 for $5! Get a ten-week series punch card at the theatre box office, while supplies last, at participating theatres.
Punch cards are available for sale at the theatre.
HARKINS SUMMER MOVIE FUN
For over 43 years, Harkins Theatres has brought back some of Hollywood's best family films to keep kids entertained and cool during the summer. Kids can enjoy a movie a week for 10 weeks, for less than $1 per film. All adults must be accompanied by children. Guarantee your seats by purchasing your pass at the theatre box office.
Two participating theatres in Southern Arizona: Arizona Pavillions 12 (I-10 & Cortaro Farms in NW Tucson) and Tucson Spectrum 18 (I-19 between Drexel & Irvington)
Dates: May 27-August 2
Movies: Happy Feet (May 27-31), How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World (June 3-7), Despicable Me 2 (June 10-14), Despicable Me 3 (June 18-22), Hotel Transylvania 3 (June 17-21), Smallfoot (June24-28), The LEGO Movie 2 (July 1-5), Sherlock Gnomes (July 8-12), Trolls (July 15-19), Penguins of Madagascar (July 22-26), Shrek (July 29-Aug 2)
Cost: 10 movies | 10 weeks | $5 per child/adult for all 10 movies | Children 2 and under free
Note: To ensure seating availability you will need to select a specific theatre and day of the week, as well as attend the same theatre on the same day of each week.
Individual Tickets: Individual tickets ($2 each) are not sold in advance, but are available at the box office, on a first-come first-serve basis. Please note that seating availability may be limited due to advanced purchases made by season ticket holders.
Tickets are only available for sale at the theatre.
LOFT KIDS FEST
Each morning for nine days, children and their parents can experience some of the best family-friendly films, along with a fabulous animated short before every feature! To make the outing extra special, The Loft Cinema and a number of sponsors offer fun games, hands-on activities, live performances, great giveaways, tons-o-free-popcorn, and crazy surprises before the films. Best of all, it’s FREE!
LOCATION: The Loft Cinema, 3233 E. Speedway (just east of Country Club), Tucson
DATES: July 19 – July 28, 2019
TIMES: Every morning at 10:00am (doors open at 9:15am). Encore screenings at 11:00am on Saturdays and Sundays only. Pre-show activities hosted by the gang from Mildred & Mildred Toy Store, every day starting at 9:15am!
