Many of the movie theaters around Tucson offer free or deeply discounted movies during the summer months. Get inside and enjoy the air-conditioned entertainment at a location near you!

Note that some of these theaters require or recommend advance ticket purchasing. Plan ahead to ensure that you have seats at the shows that interest you.

The first part of this page features summer movie programs that either run all summer long or where you can purchase a book of tickets.

The second part of the page is a chronological listing of individual drive-in, dive-in, and special event movies.

The Cinemark Summer Movie Clubhouse is a kid-friendly summer movie series. Attend for only $1.50 per person per movie while supplies last at participating theatres.

  • DATES: June 15-August 3, 2022

  • MOVIES: The Boss Baby: Family Business, Angry Birds, Scoob, Sing 2, Paw Patrol, Tom & Jerry, Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway, Clifford
  • COST: $1.50 per person, per movie
  • NOTE: Save even more with $1 OFF deals on kids’ snack packs or any size popcorn and drink combo during Summer Movie Clubhouse showtimes.


The Galaxy Theatres Summer Kids Program features $2 kids’ tickets and $3 value packs (with purchase of kids’ tickets) are yours all summer long!

  • LOCATION: There is only one Galaxy Theatre in Tucson. It located in SE Tucson at 100 S. Houghton Rd.
  • DATES: June 7 - August 25
  • TIMES: Varies by theater

Let the summer fun begin! Guests can bring the entire family to see their favorite family films on the big screen with the Harkins Summer Movie Fun Program!

Each week through July 29, kids can enjoy a movie a week for 8 weeks, for just $1 per film. All adults must be accompanied by children. Guarantee your seats by purchasing your pass at the theatre box office!

LOFT KIDS FEST returns to The Loft Cinema this summer for 10 days of free entertainment and excitement, every Saturday and Sunday morning in July, starting Saturday, July 2nd!

Each day of the Fest, children and their parents will experience big screen presentations of some of the best family-friendly films, along with fun games, interactive activities, great giveaways, tons-o-free-popcorn, and free prize raffles! Each screening also includes an animated short film from around the world! Daily pre-show activities will be hosted the staff of Mildred & Dildred Toy Store. Best of all, everything is FREE!

  • LOCATION: The Loft Cinema, 3233 E. Speedway Blvd, Tucson
  • DATES: Every Saturday and Sunday morning in July: July 2, July 3, July 9, July 10, July 16, July 17, July 23, July 24, July 30, July 31
  • TIMES: Doors open and activities begin each day at 9:15am. Films begin at 10:00am.
