Pima Community College Theatre Arts proudly presents the award-winning and highly-acclaimed musical “Fiddler on the Roof.”
“Fiddler on the Roof” is a heartwarming musical, set in a small Jewish village in 1905 Russia. The play revolves around the hardworking and poor dairyman Tevye, father of five daughters. He’s a big-hearted patriarch wishing to preserve his traditions and maintain his family, while outside influences encroach upon their lives. The musical premiered on Broadway in 1964 and ran for almost 10 years. The initial production won nine Tony Awards. Musical numbers include the following memorable favorites: Tradition, Matchmaker, Matchmaker, If I Were a Rich Man, Sabbath Prayer, Miracle of Miracles, Do You Love Me?, and Sunrise, Sunset.
