The museum is a nonprofit 501©3 founded by Patricia and Walter Arnell and sustained by donations and revenue earned from operations. The museum originally opened on September 1, 2009

  • The Mini Time Machine is open Tues-Sun, 9:00am-4:00pm.
  • Closed on Mondays and major holidays.
  • Open late every last Thursday of the month, 9:00am-8:00pm.

Parking is free and plentiful.

What is the cost of membership? Is it worthwhile?

The museum offers membership plans based on how many people you would most often visit with. Annual Museum Memberships offer unlimited annual admission, complimentary guest passes, 10% discount in the Museum Store and on select programs, and invitations to special events.

The museum hosts an average of six temporary exhibitions annually and there are special times of the year you’ll want to pop in like HalloWEEn and a Wee Winter Wonderland. Most membership levels pay for themselves after just a couple visits.

What should I bring with me?

Your imagination. Also, bring a camera for photo opps. The museum permits non-flash photography. Many artifacts also have audio tour stops you can access on your own wifi-enabled device (complimentary wifi provided). Bring headphones or earbuds if you’d like to enjoy the commentary.

How many bathrooms are available?

Men's and women's restrooms are available (with changing stations in each).

Is outside food allowed? 

Outside food and drinks are not allowed in the museum and cannot be checked at the front desk. Please also note that chewing gum is not permitted.

Should I bring a stroller?

The museum is 10,000sqft so you may want to bring a stroller with you.

Is there a designated area for nursing moms?

There is not a designated area for nursing moms. However, there are benches throughout the galleries.

Are changing tables available?

Yes – in the restrooms.

What ages would be best suited for a museum visit?

Although all ages are welcome, elementary and middle school children will especially enjoy looking for the Museum’s resident fairy, Caitlin, in the “Find Fairy Caitlin Scavenger Hunt.” You can also check out stepstools at the front desk. Children are expected to follow museum manners.
