Have you gone to a Tucson clinic, hospital, or doctor’s office and had an amazing experience with a health worker? Or perhaps you have a friend or family member who is a health care worker and goes the extra mile in their community? Now you can thank them by nominating them for a REAL Award.
A nominee must meet the following criteria to be eligible to be nominated or receive an award:
- be employed in the health care field;
- be at least eighteen (18) years of age; and
- be a legal resident of the United State.
The awards will recognize health care providers in the United States in eight categories: Newborn and Mother Care, Pediatric Care, Chronic Disease Care, Hospice Care, Emergency Care, Veteran Care, At-Home Care, and General Health Worker.
Each awardee will receive a trip to Washington D.C. to attend a Save the Children event for Advocacy Day – including round-trip air transportation and one-night double occupancy hotel accommodations.
All you have to do to honor an outstanding health care worker that you know is complete a brief online form about why you think your nominee deserves a REAL Award. The deadline is Thursday, November 29, 2012.
* Limit one nomination per person.
** Note that this award program is open to people all over the United States, but we think it would be fantastic to have a Tucsonan or two represented.
