Restaurant Review: Lindy's on 4th

Well known in the Tucson food scene, especially since being featured on the Travel Channel's Man v. Food, Lindy's on 4th is a burger-lover's paradise. Their menu includes an astounding array of specialty burgers like the "Picnic Basket" (potato salad, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onion, & Lindy’s sauce), "Hawaii Five-O" (pineapple, swiss, lettuce, tomato, onion, teriyaki, & Lindy’s sauce) and "Blue Suede Cow" (peanut butter, bacon, pepper jack, lettuce, tomato, & onion). You can choose how big you want your burger to be: they'll put anywhere from one to nine 1/3 lb patties on it. (And if you finish the 9-patty "OMFG" in less than 20 minutes, it's free!)

The burgers are juicy and delicious, and the sides are amazing. Portions are big and prices are low, making it even more appealing. The only drawback is that the restaurant is quite small, and demand is high, so there are sometimes long waits.

We recently went to Lindy's on a double date. I got the Texas Belt Buckle, my husband got the Dirty Sanchez, and we shared a large basket of crispy, sweet onion rings. Our friends each got a burger too, and shared a large basket of gravy fries. Add in sodas and beers, and the total for the four of us was just under $50. Service was quick, and since we went for an early lunch we didn't have to wait at all. I wish that we lived closer to 4th Avenue so that we could get to Lindy's more often!
