Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch is “The Darndest Place You'll Ever Visit!

The operating ostrich ranch has been open since 1999 and allows visitors to feed and pet ostriches, donkeys, goats, deer, bunnies, prairie dogs, ducks, lorikeets, tortoises, and stingrays.

Where is the Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch located?

Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch is located at 17599 E Peak Ln, Picacho, AZ – below Picacho Peak State Park off of Exit 219. You should be able to get from downtown Tucson to Rooster Cogburn in about 40 minutes.

What are the hours?

  • Summer/Fall (May 1-Sept 30, 8:00am-2:00pm and Oct 1-Nov 15): Open on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
  • Winter (November 16-April 30): Open daily from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Kids 5 & under are FREE, but Free Admission does NOT include feed. (Optional Kids Feed is available for $6)

Can I purchase an annual membership instead?

Memberships are not available at this time.

What is the parking situation?

Free parking is available at Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch. The parking lots can accommodate RVs and buses.

What should I wear?

Dress for the weather. Layers, sunscreen, sunglasses, and sun hats are generally recommended.

What should I bring with me?

You may want to bring lunch and water.

Are restrooms available?

Yes. There are restrooms available.
