Summer Spotlight - Summer On Stage at Arizona Theatre Company

summer at Arizona Theatre Company

Do you know a high school student who is comfortable on stage and is excited to see their name in lights? OR do you know a student who loves to be "behind the scenes" on big projects that involve art, design, technology, or construction?

ARIZONA THEATRE COMPANY is pleased to offer two tracks of five-week theatre workshops for high school students. No auditions required! Participation is limited.

Summer on Stage: Tucson is a five-week intensive training program that culminates in fully realized productions performed on the main stage at the Temple of Music and Art.

On the flip side, Summer Backstage: Tucson allows participants to be mentored by ATC staff and guest artists in hands-on workshop sessions that will prepare them to assist in the build and load-in of the set(s), as well as for a spot on the backstage crews for Arizona Theatre Company productions.

Both programs take place between June 22–July 24, 2015, Monday-Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm. Final performances will be July 23 & 24, 2015 at 7:00p.m.

  • LOCATION: Classes and rehearsals take place in studio classrooms at the University of Arizona’s School of Theatre, Film, & Television. Technical workshops take place at ATC’s facilities in downtown Tucson. Productions are performed at the Temple of Music and Art.
  • COST: $850 for Summer On Stage; $350 for Summer Backstage. Scholarships available.
