Pima County Public Library invites all KIDS (preschool through 6th grade) to participate in their 2013 Summer Reading Program – “Dig Into Reading.”
Here’s the scoop.
Step 1: Sign up. You will receive a board game tracker to mark your progress. You can also pick up a copy of Summer Reading Times for the whole family.
Step 2: Read for fun. Have fun reading! Read together, read aloud, read to learn something new, read a new author, or read or listen to a different type of book and talk about what you’re reading.
Step 3: Visit the library. Come for an event. Visit your neighborhood library or try a new one. Bring a friend.
More About Summer Reading 2013
Children will receive a game board when they sign up. Each time they reach a goal, they can visit their library to pick up stickers, special lists of recommended activities, activity booklets with coupons for a variety of destinations, and more. If they complete all of their goals, they can receive a pass for one admission to Breakers Water Park.
Summer Reading Times lists the fun events and activities scheduled throughout the summer. It also includes book recommendations for all ages, how to choose books for children, discount coupons, and ideas for things to do to “dig” into and stay active this summer.
