By now, you have probably heard the news that Toys "R" Us and Babies "R" Us are implementing a financial restructuring (aka filing bankruptcy).
What does this mean for Tucson's five stores? Jessica Offerjost, Assistant Manager of Public Relations, explained, "It’s important to note that we did not announce any store closures. In fact, we will be announcing our seasonal hiring push very soon. As for our customers in Tucson, they should know that all Toys“R”Us and Babies“R”Us stores and e-commerce sites are open for business and there are no changes to our customer programs (like loyalty, baby registry, gift cards, etc). We are gearing up for an exciting holiday season as usual!"
The PR team also stressed that "there are a number of exciting initiatives underway including improvements to our stores and loyalty program." Toys "R" Us also recently launched a new web store to make it even easier to shop online.
The brand is hoping that they will be able to strengthen their "financial position" with the new re-structuring.
