Fine Valentine Relay 4M & 2M. University of Arizona. Gun goes off at 8:30am. Relay & individual race options, free post-race breakfast, mimosa and bloody mary specials, costume contest. Benefits Ben’s Bells Project. Race is capped at 750 entrants and often sells out. $19-$25/individuals, $38-$50 for teams.
I Love Zoo! Reid Park Zoo, 3400 Zoo Court, Tucson. 9:00am-2:00pm. Keepers will provide animals with valentine-themed treats…and you’ll have the opportunity to make your own valentine for a furry, feathery, or scaly Zoo friend! All activities are free with regular admission. No registration is required.

Valentine’s Day at Exo. Exo Roast Co, 403 N. 6th Ave., Tucson. 8:00am-2:00pm. 3rd Annual Valentine’s Day Event. Get ready for interactive art, local coffee, valentine-making for refugees, new t-shirt designs, and a lot of love. There will be a post-it note mural with your thoughts on why you love where you live. Percentages of merchandise sales will go to the Living Streets Alliance Mobile Bike Repair service for their next visit to a refugee apartment complex in Tucson to fix up bikes.
Little Critters Workshop: Opposites Attract. Reid Park Zoo, 3400 Zoo Court, Tucson. 9:00am-10:00am. A unique program designed for ages 2-5 years. One adult chaperone is required and is included in the program price. $12 for Zoo Member children; $20 for non-member children.
Bee Mine Toddler Time. Pantano Christian Church, 1755 S. Houghton Rd., Tucson. 9:00-11:00am. Bring your children for a chance to meet and connect with other parents, do some fun parent/child projects, enjoy a light snack, relax, and watch while kids play. Geared for parents/caregivers with children 2 and under (siblings are welcome to attend). Active adult participation is required. Classrooms will have a variety of stations where you can choose activities to experience and enjoy – or just sit and visit while children free play. Bring your own picnic lunch if you’d like and use the outdoor seating at the church before heading home. $2/child.
Valentine’s Day Brunch at the Gardens. Tucson Botanical Gardens, 2150 N. Alvernon Way, Tucson. 9:00am-3:00pm. Treat your beloved to a wondrous day at the Gardens. Stroll garden pathways brimming with plants and succulents in bloom. View the exhibit Frida Kahlo: Art, Garden, Life and imagine the romance of life in Mid-Century Mexico City. Enjoy a sumptuous meal under the shade of Mesquite trees, dishes full of fresh flavors and local ingredients, created from recipes inspired by Frida herself. Arizona’s 105th Birthday Party. Creative Tribe, 236 South Scott Ave., Tucson. 5:00pm-8:00pm. Bring your Valentine down to celebrate Arizona’s Birthday. They’ll have photo props, an interactive art project (be ready to share why you love where you live!), and festive treats. Cake cutting will be take place at 7pm. Come by for a few minutes or stay for the whole time. This is a free, family-friendly event!
