Family Festival at Reid Park

Cigna and Tucson Parks and Recreation are proud to present the 14th annual Family Festival in the Park. There will be games, prizes, face painting, crafts, inflatables, and class demonstrations. Reid Park Zoo will have $1 admission (funds going to the Reid Park Zoo’s Conservation Fund) and the Edith Ball Adaptive Recreation Center will host free swimming with an inflatable obstacle course. Thanksgiving Cross-Country Classic 5K at Reid Park

Work up an unforgettable Thanksgiving appetite with a European-style 5K around Reid Park. Separate men’s and women’s events create a fun opportunity to cheer on friends and family as they hurdle hay bales and water jumps. A team division is available. Great prizes include “turkeys” and pumpkin pies! The 5K races are part of the Running Shop SAR Grand Prix. Tee Shirts: Quality cotton tee shirts will be given to each participant. Men’s, women’s and youth sizes are available.

Sun Run: La Primera 5/10K Roadrace at Reid Park

This is a chance to run your fastest on a pancake-flat, lightning-fast 10K course or opt for the shorter 5k. Proceeds to benefit Pima Community College Cross-Country and Track & Field. After the race, enjoy a warm pancake breakfast and coffee served by the Pima College Cross Country and Track and Field Teams.

Volunteer Opportunity at Reid Park’s Rose Garden

January 18, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Volunteers are needed for pruning the roses on Saturday, Jan. 18, from 9:00am to noon. Volunteers should bring rakes, garden clippers, and gloves. Water will be provided. Rose Society of Tucson will be demonstrating how to prune roses. To sign up as a volunteer, please email andrewsanneb@gmail.com.
