In a family with three growing teenage (or nearly teenage) boys, our restaurant selection criteria has changed in recent years. Gone are the days of play places, children's menus, and paper placements with boxes of crayons.
Now we are faced with the need for a hefty amount of food...and not just any food. What my boys lack in palette variety, they make up for in sheer mass consumption. So it better be good because they are going to eat a whole lot of it, whatever "it" is.
We recently visited one of our new favorite restaurants - Buffalo Wild Wings at the 68 N. Harrison Rd. location. There are two locations in Tucson; the other located on 1390 West Irvington Rd.
Buffalo Wild Wings has a sports bar vibe going on, so if you’re in the mood for a quiet and quaint atmosphere, this isn’t the place to go. But, if you like to watch a game (or two, or three...), you’ll be right at home.
The menu is full of choices from wings to burgers to flatbread sandwiches, with even more choices of sauces and seasonings. You can go mild with the Classic Wing Sauce or crazy hot with the Blazin’ sauce, with everything in between.
Each time we’ve visited, the service has been fast and friendly and the restaurant is clean. There’s always plenty happening... Boneless Thursdays ($.60 boneless wings), Wing Tuesdays ($.44 wings), free wi-fi (most locations), video game area...not to mention a great place to get your Super Bowl crazy on.
