Who says you can’t play in the snow in Tucson?
JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa, located at 3800 W. Starr Pass Boulevard in West Tucson, will create a Winter Wonderland Weekend, December 16-18, 2016.
With more than 60 tons of snow, the resort will transform into an enchanted winter wonderland, awash in tinsel and twinkle lights, with elfish fun around every corner.
Friday festivities include sledding down Snow Hill, games with elves, organized snowball fights, and an LED light party. At 8:00 pm, the Meecha Lawn will be the place to be for the countdown to the lighting of the 30-foot tree, followed by a fireworks display.
A Duck Derby through Starr Canyon River kicks off the Saturday morning holiday hoopla, followed by Santa’s spectacular arrival by helicopter on the Tash Lawn. Afternoon activities include gingerbread house making, cookie decorating, cupcake musical chairs, and storytime with Santa. The Polar Express train will be running and there will be a Horse Carousel for riding, which will leave the little ones happily exhausted and ready for sweet dreams after being tucked into bed by elves. This delightful Elf Tuck-in service includes a plush toy gift and bedtime snack of cookies and a choice of hot cocoa or apple cider.
Breakfast with Santa on Sunday morning, followed by his farewell in the lobby from 12-1, will offer endless opportunities for photos and holiday memories.
Rooms start at $189/night.
