Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch is “The Darndest Place You'll Ever Visit!”
The operating ostrich ranch has been open since 1999 and allows visitors to feed and pet ostriches, donkeys, goats, deer, bunnies, prairie dogs, ducks, lorikeets, tortoises, and stingrays.
Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch is located at 17599 E Peak Ln, Picacho, AZ – below Picacho Peak State Park off of Exit 219. You should be able to get from downtown Tucson to Rooster Cogburn in about 40 minutes.
Closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Ages 6 to 106:
Kids 5 & under are FREE, but Free Admission does NOT include feed. (Optional Kids Feed is available for $6)
Memberships are not available at this time.
Free parking is available at Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch. The parking lots can accommodate RVs and buses.
Dress for the weather. Layers, sunscreen, sunglasses, and sun hats are generally recommended.

Since this restaurant is located along I-10 between Tucson and Phoenix, there aren't great restaurant options nearby. You'll probably want to eat in either Tucson or Phoenix - or pack a lunch to bring with you.
Pets are not permitted in the feeding area at Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch.
Yes! Feel free to enjoy lunch or cake at the provided picnic tables. There are no extra charges to use the facility for a birthday party. Bring your own cake and supplies.
